The City of Sun Valley is hiring an Associate Planner to join our team in the Community Development Department. The primary responsibility for the Associate Planner position is to guide development applications through the review process and to ensure all approved elements of a project’s design are adhered to. We’re looking for someone who is passionate about custom residential design, who wants to contribute their best efforts in a team-based environment, and work in a world-class mountain/resort town setting. This position works closely with other employees in the department and throughout the organization as well as local residents, building contractors, design professionals, and the general public.
Traits that will lead to success in this role include attention to detail, adaptability, flexibility and a solutions-oriented outlook. The position has recurring core responsibilities but because City Hall is a dynamic place, we are looking for someone with a willingness to lend a hand where needed, when needed.

• Starting salary range: $67,000 - $80,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications
