The City of Sun Valley is hiring either an Assistant Planner or an Associate Planner, depending upon the qualifications of the selected candidate, to join our team in the Community Development Department. The primary responsibilities for the Assistant or Associate Planner position are guiding development applications through the review process and closing projects out after construction. We’re looking for someone who is passionate about custom residential design, contributing their best efforts in a team-based environment, and living and working in a world-class mountain/resort town setting. This position works closely with other employees in the department and throughout the organization as well as local residents, building contractors, design professionals, and the general public. Traits that will lead to success in this role include attention to detail, adaptability, flexibility and a solutions-oriented outlook. The position has recurring core responsibilities but because City Hall is a dynamic place, we are looking for someone with a willingness to lend a hand where needed, when needed. The position is open until filled; the first round of applicant reviews will occur August 18th. You can find the complete job posting at www.sunvalleyidaho.gov/employment.
