Salary Range: $4,228.80 - 5,271.20 bi-weekly

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for the operational management of the department. Lead, develop, and implement a long-range vision for all business functions including land use, transportation, building services, neighborhood support, property maintenance, housing, economic development, arts and culture, and transit. Responsible for the development and support of leadership and promoting the overall culture and vibrancy of the department. Serves as a critical partner in furthering the vision and mission of the Administration in building a thriving and dynamic community.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a degree in business administration, public administration, urban planning, or related field and a minimum of six (6) years’ progressively responsible experience in public administration including housing, planning, development, or code enforcement including supervisory responsibilities; or any such combination of education, experience, and training as may be acceptable to the hiring authority. An advanced degree in public administration or related field is desirable. American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) certification is strongly preferred. Possession of a valid driver’s license is desirable.
