Jerry Fogg Art Exhibit Tour - Free

Discover the work of Yankton Sioux tribal artist Jerry Fogg, a Sioux Falls–based artist known for his one-of-a-kind mixed media pieces that blend storytelling, history, and tradition. This exhibition at the Washington Pavilion invites visitors to explore powerful visual narratives rooted in Native American culture and personal experience.

Born in Los Angeles and now based in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Jerry Fogg draws inspiration from his upbringing near Fort Thompson on the Crow Creek Reservation. A self-taught artist, he began developing his craft in high school, influenced by Native American artists and the expansive landscapes of South Dakota.

Fogg’s work reflects a deep connection to place, memory, and identity. His artistic process is guided by intention, carefully selecting materials and composition to bring each story to life.  His artwork spans detailed pencil drawings, paintings and mixed media pieces that incorporate elements from Native culture. Each piece explores themes of history, legend and lived experience, creating a meaningful connection between the artwork and the viewer.  Every mixed media work is completely original and never reproduced, reinforcing the individuality and significance of each piece.

Veterans Community Project - $15 

An inspiring public–private partnership redefining how communities address veteran homelessness through innovative land use, compassionate, trauma-informed design, and coordinated wrap-around services. This session explores how tiny home communities–paired with onsite case management and integrated support creates sustainable pathways out of homelessness and how this adaptable model can be implemented in communities of all sizes, from urban centers to rural and Tribal settings.

Participants will:

  • Understand the role of land use and zoning in enabling innovative housing solutions

  • Explore equity-centered and trauma-informed design principles

  • Examine public–private partnerships and service coordination strategies that improve housing outcomes for veterans

Join us for a guided walk through Downtown Sioux Falls that has seen over a billion dollars of investment over the past five years.  Learn how the City collaborates on public–private partnerships behind some of the City of Sioux Falls’ most impactful developments and how you can apply these tools in your own community.
