Senior Planner / Planner III - Town of Winter Park, Colorado

The Town of Winter Park is recruiting a Senior Planner / Planner III to manage current and long-range planning projects. The ideal candidate will demonstrate experience and knowledge in planning theory and practice, public policy, and long-range planning, with strong written and oral communication skills, meaningful customer service practices, and a wide range of knowledge regarding the Planning profession. The Senior Planner is responsible for the reviewing and processing of all development projects as well as other applications outlined in the Town’s Unified Development Code. The position is responsible for the presentation of plans and policies to the Community Development Director, Planning Commission, the Town Council, and other community boards. Reporting to the Community Development Director, the position will work with the Planner I to provide direction on projects, determine development review process, and maintain scheduled applications.

A Bachelor’s Degree in Urban Planning, Environmental Science or related field of study and four years of planning experience in a municipal setting is desired with a Master’s Degree preferred. A combination of education and experience may be considered. 

The salary range is currently $59,416 - $100,654, with a desired starting salary from $59,000 to $85,000 dependent on qualifications. Fully remote candidates should expect to be on-site 2-4 times a month.
