Grade 53a, minimum rate = $44,010 ($22.57/hour)
Reviews and evaluates requests for variations of rights of way and easements for compliance with State statutes.
Reviews and evaluates applications for variances to County zoning regulations
Analyzes subdivision, zoning, special use, and site plan requests in accordance with master plan and regulations.
Reviews development applications and assesses compliance with County regulations
Prepares written reviews and recommendations for approval to the Planning Commission and Board of County Commissioners.
Processes zoning, subdivision and junk violations; performs site inspections, issues letters of violation and conducts follow-up actions.
Interprets County regulations for purposes of addressing questions from the public.
Uses geographic information systems (GIS) to develop new maps and projects and identify existing land uses and ownership
Assigns and/or determines physical addresses for land parcels in the County.
Updates county address information and maps and supports development of computer generated address books.
Reviews building permit applications, performs field inspections related to building permit and development reviews to determine compliance with County regulations such as proper setback, color, building materials, site placement, etc.
Drafts amendments to County regulations for review and possible adoption by the Board of County Commissioners
Any combination of education and experience or equivalent to Bachelor’s degree in Planning, Architecture or Engineering and one year of related experience and/or training.
