Teton County, Wyoming (pop. 21,500), the southern gateway to Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks and home to three world class ski resorts, is seeking candidates to fill the position of Planning and Building Services Director.
The chosen candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in Planning, Community Development, or a related field with seven years’ experience in land use planning, including three years of supervisory and fiscal management experience. This person should have strong communication skills and be comfortable presenting to both the public and professional audiences. The position will:
Develop and implement Planning & Building Services (PBS) Department strategies and tactical goals.
Serve as principal advisor on community development programs and technical issues.
Manage staff, track and review work activities, and evaluate work performance.
Consult with and advise developers, contractors, members of the public, various agencies, and elected officials, and attorneys on planning related issues and legal matters.
