Under the direction of the Community Development Director, plans, organizes, oversees, coordinates, directs, and reviews the work of professional, technical, and administrative staff performing difficult and complex support related to all programs and activities of the Planning division; manages the effective use of the City's land use permitting process, and planning activities to improve organizational productivity and customer service, and provides highly complex and responsible support to the Community Development Director in areas of expertise.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in urban or regional planning, or closely related field.
- Six (6) years of increasingly responsible professional planning experience, preferably includes two (2) years of experience in a supervisory role.
- Or an equivalent combination of education and experience that would provide the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
