City Administrator with the City of Spearfish, SD (Open until filled)

Responsibilities:

The position is responsible for overseeing the overall leadership and direction of day to day operations of the City of Spearfish. By providing managerial leadership to ensure efficient, responsible, and ethical functions of all City departments; while promoting positive employee relations and a team environment by facilitating an atmosphere of open communication, problem solving, and creating a shared awareness of City goals, objectives and current events.  

Requirements: 

Bachelors’ Degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Management or related field (Masters’ Degree preferred) and seven years of progressive, responsible, extensive management and administrative experience that demonstrates the ability to direct the activities of a municipal government, or an acceptable equivalent combination of education or experience as may be acceptable to the hiring authority.  Candidates must have an insurable driving history. Residency required within a distance from the City of Spearfish adequate to meet a 30 minute response time requirement.

The salary range for this position is $102,190 - $154,876 annually, based on qualifications and experience; excellent benefits; Equal Opportunity Employer.
