Under general supervision by the City Planner, this position will assist in the planning and implementation of department projects and programs by collecting data, completing research, and reviewing plans. This position will manage a full range of complex professional planning duties related to land use planning and will perform analytical work through the collection and interpretation of data used to prepare plans, reports, maps, tables and charts.
DESIRED MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in regional and/or city planning or a related field and two (2) years of progressive experience in land and community planning, housing, economic development/ redevelopment and/or transportation desired. Any equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
*The work requires the ability to walk over rough, uneven terrain and travel to work sites and meetings. May require attending meetings before or after normal work hours.
